Leasing activity at The Swig Company’s Lake Union Building in Seattle continues to strengthen, with an unnamed private equity firm leasing 5,000 square feet and bringing the energy-efficient, creative office building to 96% occupancy. Only one space remains available, consisting of 3,800 square feet, which is divisible into two smaller suites of approximately 2,200 and 1,600 square feet. This space is located on the newly remodeled fifth floor of the building.
“Reaching 96% occupancy reflects the continued appeal of Lake Union Building and the demand we’re seeing for well-located, thoughtfully designed office space in Seattle,” said Annie Doud, Vice President, Asset Management, The Swig Company.
Located at 1700 Westlake Avenue N in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, The Swig Company’s Lake Union Building is a seven-story, 98,000-square-foot office property offering gorgeous lakefront views of Lake Union from every floor. The LEED Gold-certified building features a two-story parking garage and a 61-slip marina, providing access for both drivers and boaters, a beautifully furnished outdoor patio facing the lake, newly remodeled main lobby, furnished floating dock for tenant use, and a bike storage room.
The property also incorporates View dynamic glass windows, which automatically adjust in response to sunlight to help improve energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Its location provides convenient access to major freeways as well as the businesses, amenities, and innovation ecosystem of South Lake Union.
Jeff Huntington and Todd Battison of Kidder Mathews represented The Swig Company in the transaction. Ben Garrett and Jason Smith, also of Kidder Mathews, represented the tenant.
