BRIDGE Housing becomes first new tenant to sign up for 350 California

January 9, 2024

The Swig Company and SKS Partners announced that BRIDGE Housing, a San Francisco-based non-profit developer of affordable housing, has signed a long-term lease to occupy a full floor at 350 California Street.

This is the first new lease signed at 350 California since the Class A office tower was acquired by a joint venture of The Swig Company and SKS Partners at the end of August.

BRIDGE Housing’s new headquarters will enable improved collaboration among team members in the heart of San Francisco’s financial district.

“350 California is a first-rate building with extensive amenities that will provide a comfortable, healthy and productive environment for the BRIDGE Housing team as we pursue our affordable housing mission,” said Ken Lombard, President and CEO of BRIDGE Housing, which has been headquartered in San Francisco since its founding in 1983. “We look forward to beginning a new chapter of our long legacy in San Francisco in our new corporate home.”

350 California was built in 1976 and has been extensively renovated in recent years. In addition to a large, open ground floor lobby, there is an expansive, wraparound mezzanine featuring a conference center, game room, common area lounge areas, a kitchen, and a living (green) wall.

“One of the reasons we like the building, and a motivating factor for us as an investor, is that we believe the 16,000-square-foot floorplates hit a sweet spot sought by the widest range of tenants in the current market and for the foreseeable future,” said Connor Kidd, CEO of The Swig Company.

Paul Stein, Managing Partner of SKS Partners, said: “The San Francisco market’s reset creates a tremendous opportunity for non-profits, growth companies, and other mid-size users to solidify their place in the city’s office ecosystem. This is good for tenants and landlords as well as the long-term outlook for our local economy moving forward.”

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) occupies roughly a third of 350 California’s 297,642 s.f. leasable space. BRIDGE Housing will occupy the 16th floor, which covers 16,105 s.f.

There is approximately 182,000 s.f. of space available for lease as full floors or subdivided.  For leasing information contact: Sam Stein, CBRE, Vice President, 415-772-0209, sam.stein@cbre.com
