350 California Awarded Prestigious LEED Green Building Recertification

February 19, 2025

The Swig Company announced today that 350 California, a 300,000 square foot Class A office tower in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District has been recertified LEED Gold.

350 California earned this certification by ownership’s implementation of measurable and impactful strategies across key areas, including water conservation, energy efficiency, responsible materials selection, and indoor environmental quality. Since the initial certification in 2014, the building has seen a 36% reduction in its Energy Use Intensity (EUI) and a 62% decrease in water consumption. These improvements earned 350 California six additional points in recertification. Green buildings not only reduce environmental impact but also create healthier, more comfortable workplaces for tenants.

"Maintaining LEED Gold status at 350 California reaffirms The Swig Company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability throughout our portfolio,” said Kairee Tann, Senior Vice President, Director of Innovation and Community Impact of The Swig Company. “By continuously addressing operational efficiencies, conserving water, minimizing waste, and fostering a healthy, sustainable environment, we remain dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint for the benefit of our tenants and the broader community," she added.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is the most widely used green building rating system in the world and an international symbol of excellence. Through design, construction, and operations practices that improve environmental and human health, LEED-certified buildings are helping to make the world more sustainable.

“LEED certification is the ultimate recognition of global green building leadership, signaling that a space has undergone rigorous third-party verification and meets the highest green building standards,” said Peter Templeton, president and CEO, USGBC. “The success of LEED is due to the partnership and support of those committed to advancing green building and sustainability. Each new LEED certification brings us one step closer to revolutionizing the spaces where we live, learn, work and play.”

The Swig Company and SKS Partners acquired 350 California in 2023.
